Mumbai College Admissions for FYJC
DSilva Classes has been a pioneer in offering excellent self development courses in Mumbai suburbs for the last few years. We are now giving you direct access to the online website for Junior College Admissions in Mumbai.
Junior college admissions have gone online for the first time in Maharashtra, spelling relief to nearly half a million anxious students and their parents.
The state government on June 11 created a special website http://fyjc.org.in/mumbai for the purpose, which nearly 500,000 students seeking admissions for the next academic year can use.
Initially, the online admission facility has been made available to all the 500-plus colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai and students can apply from anywhere.
Students seeking admission to first year junior college can register themselves online, select the college(s) of their choice, pay the application fees online, or through mobile phones and even make multiple applications.
However, the process of manual admissions will continue as before, the announcement added.
Principal secretary, School Education, Sanjay Kumar said that 2008 has been declared the Year of Information Technology.
'As part of that, the government wanted to take the gains of IT to the masses, since the largest single process of admissions is post-SSC, in the first year junior colleges, every year.'
In Mumbai, students and parents face a harrowing time during admission season, carrying valuable documents on crowded local trains from one college to another, through monsoon rain - all within a very short time span.
The functioning of the new system was demonstrated to Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, School Education Minister Vasant Purke, Higher Education Minister Dilip Walse-Patil and Minister of State Hassan Mushrif.

Junior College Admissions Website in Mumbai
SDC is giving direct access to the Junior College Admissions Website in Mumbai.
The state education department unveiled the final version of its eagerly awaited online admission system to junior colleges. The year, all students in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region applying to a junior college in the general (open merit) category, will have to do so online. Admissions to the 50% minority quota at minority institutions, and the 5% management quota, will not be online, and will be left to colleges to conduct.
In a bid to ensure that online admissions are a success, education minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil said that he would talk to the Maharashtra State Electricity Board in order to ensure that load-shedding did not take place in Thane and Raigad while students were applying for online admissions. The government has come out with a detailed 60-page booklet on online admissions. The admission site, http://fyjc.org.in/mumbai, will be operational from June 10. Students will be able to practise filling out their application forms, before the SSC results are out. Once the results are out, a student can fill out and lock the form, print it out, and manually submit it a designated submission centre.
If a student wishes to make a change in a form that has already been locked, he can re-register online and go through the whole procedure again. The new form will have to be printed and signed by the principal.
Students can apply to a maximum of 150 colleges and as many as two streams. ICSE and CBSE students will have to download the form and fill it manually. In the science and the commerce streams, students can apply to both the regular science course as well as the vocational science course. Each college will have a different code for its regular science stream and its vocational stream.
Students will receive an e-mail and sms informing them of the college they have made it to once the merit list is out. Students who opt for two streams will be informed of the college they have made it to in each stream. If a student makes it to a college that is, say fifth in his list of preferences, in the first merit list, but makes it to his number one preference in the second merit list, he can withdraw his application to first college and apply to the second. Each student will be allowed to do this only once. "With students being allowed to apply to two streams, there's a chance that many will withdraw admission to a college after the first merit list," said Vijaysheela Sardesai, chairman of the state board of education.
Students will also have to fill out their preferences when it comes to zones in the city. "A student who does not make it to any of the colleges he has applied to will then be allotted a seat by the government based on his preferred zone, stream and medium of instruction," said Aatul Wadegaonkar, general manager of the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited, which has developed the system.
If a student who has ticked on the sports quota preference does not have the necessary documents, he can opt for the general merit seats instead. As for those who have no access to a computer, the government will provide them with assistance. Over 1,000 centres, including schools, colleges and special MKCL centres will be set so students can access a computer and fill out their forms.

Most Call Centers in Mumbai will have a round of personal interviews, group discussions & even written tests to select the right candidate for the job. You can however get a job by just going for an interview when you apply through an agent or reference. However, the agent will charge you a fee depending on the job you recieve. References can be friends or acquaintances who help you get a job.
To excel in the personal interviews and group discussions, you need to be trained by Enoma. Too often, call center employees complain that they do not get a promotion. The truth, is that they don't deserve it. Only students and staff who have the right people skills on the job tend to get promotions and quick salary raises in Call Centers in Mumbai.
Call center jobs can be fun or boring. It's all in your attitude. However, you should apply for an in-bound call center job rather than an outbound call center job. Those with experience should take up outbound calls as those require more skill and experience. Also, you can get high commissions on such jobs. Many Team Leaders and Agents draw almost twice as much as in-bound agents and Team Leaders when they work with the best call centers in out-bound calls.
However, for a beginner or if it's your first call center job, it would be best to let the trainers give you the right project or process to work on. Also, stay on good terms with your trainers during your call center training period. They often decide the process and the jobs you will do in the next few months.
